It has a wide range of visibility and recognition in North America. The ETL mark is the exclusive mark of the world's leading quality and safety organization Intertek Tianxiang Group. Products that have obtained the ETL mark represent that they meet the mandatory standards of North America and can enter the North American market smoothly.

Q1: The difference between UL and ETL
Both UL and ETL represent that the product has passed the test of the Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) and meets the corresponding safety standards. So the real difference is in service. As an ETL customer, you can enjoy tailor-made testing, inspection and certification services, fast operation cycles and flexible working methods. We are creating a way of working more closely with our customers so that your products can enter the market faster, smoother, and more efficiently.
ETL certification and UL certification have the same access to the North American market, but the cost of ETL certification is much lower than UL certification, generally only half of UL certification, and ETL certification product testing can be transferred through CB test reports, which can be used for you Save a lot of testing costs.
ETL certification time is also much shorter than UL certification. Under special circumstances, ETL can issue a certificate first and then conduct a factory inspection to save precious time for your product export.
Q2: What does the ETL listing mark mean?
Simply put, the ETL listing mark means that your product has passed the tests approved by the NRTL in the United States and the SCC in Canada, conforms to the recognized national standards, and meets the most basic requirements for product sales or distribution. For distributors, retailers and customers, the ETL mark is a guarantee that products meet safety standards and have been tested and certified by third-party organizations.
Q3: Will the retailer accept the ETL listing mark?
Yes it is. Because the ETL listing mark is a widely accepted and recognized product conformity certificate, retailers have no reason not to accept the ETL listing mark on products. Individual retailers or distributors do not accept products with the ETL listing mark, most likely because of market misinformation-it is this kind of misinformation that has misled some manufacturers into thinking that they cannot choose their own third-party testing partners.
